The estate
You arrive down a country lane and, as you crest the hill, a whole world opens up: green meadows run to the still blue of Lago di Mezzano, one of the cleanest volcanic lakes in Italy. This is the Tuscia — the unspoilt country between Rome and Tuscany, minutes from Lake Bolsena and about ninety minutes north of the capital — where Italy still feels the way you imagined it.
Here the Zapponi family has kept the land for four generations. Frà Viaco isn't a hall you rent: it's a working farmhouse, a vegetable garden, the animals, the grill always lit. On your wedding day, all of this simply becomes your home.

How your day unfolds
You don't rent a space — you live a whole day, written around the two of you. Here is how it flows, hour by hour.
You wake while the countryside is still cool — many of our couples have slept on the estate since the night before. The place is already yours: the couple gets ready in the rooms, suppliers set up, the scent of the grill begins to rise. No other event, no clock to watch but your own.
Civil ceremony, civil union or the renewal of your vows: celebrated outdoors, on the lawn overlooking the water, with the fruit trees as your aisle. Couples who choose a religious rite hold it in the churches of the nearby villages, minutes away.
When the light turns golden, the lawn fills with glasses and laughter. This is the hour of the most beautiful photographs: you and your guests, the water mirroring the sky, and the Tuscia glowing orange.
The heart of the celebration: our own meats over the coals, twenty-three hand-made fresh pastas, the garden on your plate. Under the fruit trees or in the farmhouse halls, with a service that runs slow and easy — the way a true wedding dinner should.
We create your wedding cake to measure, after tasting it together. The cut is the moment everyone gathers around you: candles, applause and your first toast as newlyweds.
